Founder & Owner, Healing Hearts Trauma
Hi, I'm Olivia. I believe therapy works best when you feel like you're talking to a real person—not someone sitting across from you with a clipboard, silently nodding and asking, “And how does that make you feel?”
My approach is warm, direct, collaborative, and practical. I'm interested in more than just what you're struggling with. I want to help you understand what's happening underneath it.
Why do certain situations trigger such a strong reaction? Why do you keep finding yourself in the same relationship patterns? Why is it difficult to trust, set boundaries, stop overthinking, or feel secure even when part of you knows you're okay?
Much of my work focuses on the connection between attachment, trauma, relationships, and emotional regulation. Sometimes the behaviors we struggle with today developed because they once helped us cope, connect, or protect ourselves. Therapy gives us a place to understand those patterns without judgment—and decide what we want to do differently moving forward.
I work with adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, life transitions, identity concerns, and the complicated parts of life that don't always fit neatly into a diagnostic box.

I'm an active therapist. I'll listen, but I'll also ask questions, help you connect the dots, teach skills, and challenge patterns when it may be helpful.
Therapy with me isn't about telling you what to do or expecting you to have all the answers. We'll work together to understand how your experiences have shaped the way you think, feel, respond, and connect with others—and identify what you'd like to change.
There may be serious conversations. There may also be humor. Sometimes there are moments when something we've been talking about suddenly clicks and you begin seeing yourself or your relationships differently.
You don't need to walk into therapy already knowing exactly what's wrong or what you need.
Figuring that out can be part of the work.

I don't believe therapy should feel like the same workbook handed to every person who walks through the door.
My approach integrates trauma-informed care, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral approaches, dialectical behavior therapy skills, psychoeducation, emotional regulation strategies, and relationship-focused interventions. Treatment is individualized based on your experiences, needs, goals, and the patterns we identify together.
I also provide LGBTQ+ affirming care and strive to create an environment where individuals and couples can openly discuss relationships, identity, family, sexuality, and life experiences without having to justify or defend who they are.

You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes knowing that you don't want to keep doing things the same way is enough of a place to begin.
